“A foolish doctor tells his patient how he will cure him with many words. A good doctor speaks internally with his patient. A wise doctor works in silence, listening to the wisdom above all.”
My studies in yoga actually began in 1978, when I was thrown from a horse injuring my spinal nerves. I was told I may never walk again.
My unwillingness to acccept this prognosis guided me, in blind faith, to a “yoga doctor” who introduced me to what I now know as Ayurveda. It was that humble “yoga doctor” who first utilized dietary remedies, herbal medicine, yoga and breathing exercises, oil massage therapies and most importantly, spiritual meditation practices to mobilize the innate healing forces, releasing me from pain and suffering.
Not only did my ability to walk return, but other ongoing medical difficulties were spontaneously resolved as well. In awe, I began professional yoga teacher training and became licensed as a massage therapist, and have maintained full-time practices for 20 years now. Since that profound turnaround, I have dedicated my life to sharing all that I am given in the form of knowledge, experience and touch with all who seek peace and health in their own lives.
peace~
